Founder And CEO

Gerald Sibanda is a distinguished Global Entrepreneur and Investment Professional in sports business with remarkable accoumplishments. He is a renowned sports promoter and manager with expertise across multiple disciplines including rugby, football, boxing, and more. A respected figure in International Relations and Diplomacy, Gerald is known for building impactful partnerships and advancing cross-border initiatives that elevate sport and business alike. As a former international rugby player, he enjoyed a 12-year professional career across South Africa, Scotland, and Romania (2005–2018), and remains a celebrated icon in Zimbabwean rugby, having represented the nation in the World Rugby Sevens Series from 2006 to 2012. As the President and CEO of Athletes Sphere Global, Gerald Sibanda leads transformative projects across Africa, Europe, South America, and the Middle East. His passion for African sports development inspired the founding of the Gerald Sibanda Foundation, a visionary platform dedicated to creating world-class opportunities and life-changing pathways for emerging athletes.

Marcos Pelegrin

International Business Director

Marcos started his professional career as Executive Associate for CEOE International, focusing on Asia and Oceania Relations and developing successful projects with more than 20 countries. In March 2015, Marcos founded World Football Summit, where he was International Affairs and Business Development Director. Currently, he is still linked with WFS as a member of the Advisory Board. Later, he joined LALIGA where, Marcos has held positions as a Manager for International Relations, Managing Director of LALIGA in Africa and Strategic Projects Director for the MENA region. During his stay in South Africa, Marcos was elected as the President of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in South Africa. After six years, he joined N3XT SPORTS as the Director of Commercial Services. At the same time, he features as a external consultant for FIFA in topics such as strategy, marketing and commercial. Mr. Pelegrin holds a degree in Law and Political Science, an MA in international Affairs by ICADE as well as a Masters in Football Business at Cruyff Institute-FC Barcelona. Having lived in France, Italy, Ireland and South Africa, Marcos is fluent in French, Italian and English.
